The hotel is located near the east end of Copacabana Beach.  The price was quite reasonable given what I could find for the area; a very nice breakfast buffet was included.  Like its neighbors, it sits across the very wide boulevard from the beach, but I had a good view of it from my balcony.  They provided free beach service -- an attendant sets up chairs, lounges and umbrellas.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful; in addition to the usual question-answering, tour-arranging, etc, they went out of their way to help me fill the gaps in my coin collection.
