Pomaire is a village known for it´s pottery....there´s not much else to it. It is about 45 miles southwest of Santiago.
So again I hop on the Metro (subway) to the bus station and go for about 40 miles until the bus literally drops me off the freeway near a freeway off ramp. With some direction from the bus drivers assistant I am told to walk a half mile to a bus stop-pointing that way. Suddenly, an old small tattered bus picks me up and off we go for the next few miles to the also "tattered" pottery village. Besides pottery there were other goods, but pottery was the main attraction. Too bad it was heavy, breakable, and of course the pieces I liked big...not very good for a moving traveler.
It was nothing spectacular, but I am glad I got out of the city for a good part of the day.
Hasta luego,
Tif
